ABOUT BOOK

ABOUT AUTHOR

Insect pest and disease is one of the most essential parts to study in Agriculture and Horticulture system. As a whole plant protection deals with various measures to prevent, control, and manage the pest and disease that can caused significant damage in the yield and quality of the crop. There are many books on plant protection covering different topics of entomology, plant pathology and its managements parts. This book focus to cover the current trends of plant protection including the preservation of ecosystem and sustaining the agricultural system through insect pollinators, uses of nano particles in plant protection, role of PGPR and remote sensing in pest management. It also highlights the uses of insects as medicine, a way alternative to solve the pest menace by using it as medicine. This book will help students, scholars, scientists, or progressive farmers in the field of agriculture, this book will serve as a good source of currents plant protection trends. Authors believe that through this book many valuable information and practical knowledge on how to protect the plants from pest and diseases will be delivered, resulting in good healthy crop cultivation with increase yield and profits. The purpose of the book is to make plant protection easier to understand and to help readers appreciate the current trends and current management practices which will be ecologically sound. It is also based on the curricula of several agricultural universities as well as other universities where plant pathology and Entomology is offered as a minor course. I genuinely believe that this book will help beginners understand the fundamentals of plant protection quickly and effectively. The book is an outcome of information compiled from various sources; therefore, I must express my most humble and profound gratitude to all of them. The constructive criticism and perceptive ideas from readers, about how to enhance the book are always highly appreciated and will be incorporated into later editions.
