Dr. Prabhat Kumar Singh is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of agriculture with PhD. in Genetics. Prior to joining the Climate Resilient Agriculture Programme at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, Bihar in 2020, Dr. Singh served as an Assistant Professor and Head of Department at Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Odisha, India, for four years. During this time, he mentored and guided over ten postgraduate students in their research projects, demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence and student development. Dr. Singh holds B.Sc. Hons. in Agriculture with distinction from Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, W.B and subsequently, pursued his M.Sc. (Ag.) in Genetics through ICAR-AIEEA-PG (JRF) at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, W.B., India, His scholarly contributions include the publication of more than 54 research papers, proceeding paper, annual reports, book chapters, technical bulletins, leaflets, folders, brochures and popular articles. He has actively participated in an array of professional gatherings comprising about 24 national and international seminars, symposiums, conferences workshops and training program. In 2018, he was honored with the Best PhD Thesis Award at the International Conference on Worldwide Research Initiatives for Agriculture, Science, and Technology. Moreover, Dr. Singh holds memberships in various distinguished professional societies and serves as both an editorial board member and esteemed reviewer for several reputed journals.
Dr. Rohit Sharma is at present Technical Officer/Jr. Scientist (Agrometeorology), Regional Agricultural Research Station, Rajouri, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (J&K)-India. Dr. Sharma received his Ph.D. in Agronomy in 2008 from CSK Himachal Pradesh Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur (HP) India. He has research and extension work experience of about 16 years. He has worked in different capacities as Research Associate under projects funded by Govt. of India, Manager (Regulatory Affairs Compliance & Biosafety) in Bayer BioScience Pvt. Ltd and Project Scientist in International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI). He has a vast research experience in weed science, nutrient management, organic farming and agrometeorology field. As an academician, he contributed in 08 books in the field of Agriculture and published 40 research papers and review papers in journals of national and international repute and delivered numerous oral and poster presentations in national and international seminars/conferences. He has an international exposure of visiting 07 countries and associated with 06 externally funded projects; funded by ICAR, IMD and DST etc.
Dr. Narinder Panotra is presently working as Associate Professor in the Institute of Biotechnology, Chatha, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu, J&K, INDIA. He did his Ph. D in Agronomy (Weed Science) in 2007. He has more than 16 years experience in teaching, research and extension. Dr Panotra started his professional career as a Research Associate (Agronomy) at the Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research, Modipuram in 2007. He has worked extensively across the entire value chain of organic agriculture management, including organizing capacity building programs for farmers and officials, working in organic adoption and certification projects at the regional level. He was also instrumental in facilitating the establishment of the Organic Farming Research Centre and Division as a major vertical. As an academician, he contributed 09 books in the field of agriculture including one text book and published more than 100 research and review papers in journals of national and international repute. He has an international exposure of visiting 04 countries and associated with 23 externally funded projects; funded by ICAR, DST, DBT, NABARD etc and worked in 27 institutional research projects as PI/Co-PI.
Dr. Surekha B. Kadam is currently serving as a Assistant Professor (Agronomy) at National Agricultural Research Project, Chh. Sambhajinagar with extensive experience in research, teaching and extension spanning over 17 years in various capacities. She holds Ph. D. in Agronomy, showcasing her expertise in the field of Agronomy. With a keen research interest, Dr. Kadam has contributed significantly to academia with 14 research papers published in journals of national and international repute and 6 book chapters to her credit. She has played a crucial role in organization of various international, national and divisional level conference/workshops. She has also participated in numerous seminars, conferences, training sessions, workshops and webinars related to agriculture. Her dedication and commitment to her field makes her a valuable asset to the academic research community.
Dr. Vishal Sharma presently working as Subject Matter Specialist- Agronomy at Krishi Vigyan Kendra- Kathua, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Jammu (J&K). he did his Ph.D. in Agronomy (Crop production from CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur (H.P.) India. He has research and extension work experience of about 17 years. Dr Sharma worked in different capacities as Research Associate, Technical assistant, Subject matter Specialist. He worked in all these conditions (In dry temperate area, temperate area, sub-tropical and inter-mediate areas). Dr Sharma worked on different crops like pulses, cereals, Psudo cereals buckwheat, oilseed crops, fodder crops, high value crops like seabuckthorn, garden pea, reicebean under different capacities. He gained a lot of experience on organic farming during his tenure. Published a good number of publications in different repute journals. He worked in multidisciplinary teams of scientists and colleagues.
Abhijit Debnath, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Dhalai and I am exploiting my knowledge for the development of the farming community, my Organization as well as my own for overall development of my State Tripura as well as for a bright future. As a KVK Scientist, I am working in the Research as well Frontline Extension of Horticultural developmental activities since 2011. I have been serving farming community since 1st December 2011 as SMS and as Incharge Senior Scientist & Head, KVK
North Tripura from 24-11-2014 and now as Senior Scientist & Head at KVK Dhalai leading the group as Team Leader for agri and allied activities for the upliftment of farmers income.
As a Horticulturist, on behalf of my Organization, effectively implemented True Potato Seed (TPS) and its tuberlet production to reduce the scarcity of seed tuber, commercial floriculture, processing and value addition, improved cultivation technologies of vegetables (tomato, brinjal, chilli, cucurbits), modern technologies like poly mulching, Integrated Farming System (IFS) modules, mushroom cultivation, Integrated Nutrient management of high value Sabri Banana, creating of Hydroponics technology for interested urban community, improved Nutri rich and nutri-sensitive crops (Millets, exotic vegetables, fruit crops) for nutritional security. Technologies are now at field level expansion and horizontal spread which created positive impact on the socio economic condition of the low, marginal and tribal farmers of both North Tripura and Dhalai District. I am leading the team in all over activities of KVK since 2014 to till date.
