ABOUT BOOK

ABOUT AUTHOR

All living things require water, which is also vital for maintaining our ecosystems, agricultural systems, and industrial processes. With the increasing demands on freshwater supplies, expanding urbanisation, and climate change, it is more crucial than ever to manage water resources efficiently. The goal of Water Resource Management & Irrigation Engineering is to give engineers, practitioners, and students the fundamental understanding and useful resources they need to tackle the problems of water distribution, shortage, and sustainable use.

From the fundamentals of hydrology and the complexities of irrigation techniques to the most recent developments in water-saving technologies, this book covers a wide range of subjects. By providing readers with insights on planning, putting into practice, and maintaining irrigation systems that optimise water efficiency and promote sustainable agriculture, the aim is to close the gap between theoretical understanding and practical applications.

Every chapter has been written to offer in-depth talks on important subjects like managing watersheds, the relationships between soil, water, and plants, and creative irrigation methods. Throughout, case studies and examples are used to show how these ideas might be applied in diverse geographic and environmental circumstances.
